Gum Disease

entamœba gingivalis
Amebiasis is a mouth infection through Entamœbia gingivalis. This ameba is an organism which survives through its hostess. Even though one may have reasonably good oral hygiene, this parasite appears to be associated with an important deterioration of the gum.
trichomonas
In many cases, other parasites and fungus, such as the Trichomonas (left) and the Candidoses (below) shrewdly thrive by attacking the hostess while affecting the immune system.
candidoses
pus
The formation of pus upon contact with the tooth is frequent and the loss of teeth is the unfortunate consequence, without mentioning the unpleasant halitosis problems and the effects on one's general health.

Today's medicine treats two such species, amibic infections and trichomonas vaginitis (2.5 million per year in the U.S), using topical and systemic antibiotics while also looking after the partner.
Few dentists have the training or the microscopic tools to warn patients about the presence of this pathogenic flora literally building nests of parasites in their gums. Most of the treatment still consists in blindly circumcising the swollen gum, and of reprimanding the patient for his/her poor oral hygiene, without ever mentioning the contagious nature of the infection.
nid de parasites

We promote mild medical and pharmacological treatment, customized to the patient's needs and similar to the new methods used for treating  stomach ulcers through Helicobacter pylori.
